Progress can be measured with more than just appearances and scales. At My Keto Supply, we want you to be able to find out if you're making progress, even if it's not visible.

There are three primary ways of testing how your ketosis is going, based on your ketones.

The least accurate way (but still a good option) is urine testing. Using urinalysis with ketone strips tells you what your ketones were (typically hours ago). While this is the least effective of the three ways, it has the benefits of being cheap, easy, and requiring no needles.

The second best way to check your keto progress is by using a breathalyzer. Like the ketone strips, this is also easy. While it has a slightly more expensive start-up, it has the benefit of being more accurate and more up-to-date than urinalysis. Also similar to the keto reagent strips, this method does not require needles.

The third way is blood testing, which gives you the most accurate reading possible. The cost is a little higher to start up, since you have to buy the meter, but it is also going to give you your ketone count with the best accuracy. Blood testing is better than both ketone strips and using breath analysis, but has the downside of requiring blood (which just isn't a comfortable thought for some people that shy away from needles).
